Jeju Fire Station Conducts Emergency Rescue Control Team Drill for Earthquake and Tsunami Disaster Preparedness
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Jeju Fire Station announced on the 27th that it conducted the first quarter emergency rescue control team training with the participation of 18 organizations including emergency rescue agencies, integrated support headquarters, and support agencies to improve disaster site response capabilities.
This training assumed multiple casualties caused by a tsunami coinciding with high tide, flooding low-lying coastal areas and the underground shopping mall in Jeju City. It involved confirming the missions and roles of each organization and conducting situational judgment training to efficiently respond to disaster situations that may occur in stages and minimize damage.
Go Jae-woo, head of Jeju Fire Station, said, “Through joint training with organizations, we will strengthen proactive on-site response capabilities to respond quickly and safely to any disaster situation.”
