Geochang-gun Holds Celebration Event for New Public Officials
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province held a ceremony in the large conference room of the county office to celebrate 54 rookie public officials taking their first step as full-time civil servants after their probation period ended.
At the event on the 24th, cards with congratulatory messages and flower baskets were presented.
The event was promoted to eradicate the so-called ‘probation rice cake’ culture, one of the wrong practices in the public service community. It was organized as a communication occasion where rookie public officials could celebrate together and exchange kind words, preserving the original purpose of commemorating the end of the probation period.
Since their first assignment as trainees on September 24 last year, they have been performing their duties while responding to COVID-19.
