[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] High-performance car brand Maserati unveiled its new sports utility vehicle (SUV), the Grecale, for the first time on the 22nd (local time). The new car has a top speed of 285 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. The brand is famous for its distinctive engine exhaust sound, and this car combines the signature Maserati engine sound with an immersive Sonus Faber multidimensional sound system.
The Grecale follows the brand tradition of naming cars after famous winds, with its name meaning "strong northeast wind of the Mediterranean." The new car is developed in three trims: the GT version with a 300-horsepower 4-cylinder mild hybrid engine, the Modena version with a 4-cylinder 330-horsepower mild hybrid engine, and the high-performance Trofeo version, which uses a 530-horsepower 6-cylinder engine based on the Nettuno engine found in the MC20. Next year, Maserati will add its first electrified SUV model.
