Chairman Ahn held a full meeting at the transition committee office in Tongui-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, in the morning and said, "The transition committee is the vanguard of the new government."
He added, "If the vanguard overlooks danger or takes the wrong path, the main force becomes endangered," and "Before the government is launched, the transition committee must accurately grasp the flow of the times and the overall state affairs, and draw the blueprint for the new government to move forward in each field."
However, he stressed that they should not be so absorbed in their respective division tasks that they lose a comprehensive perspective. Chairman Ahn said, "Those gathered here are experts with the highest professionalism in each field, but having the best does not guarantee the best results," and "Please think together not only about your assigned field but also about what is the optimal solution for the entire future of the Republic of Korea and the success of the new government."
He also said that current issues should not be neglected. Chairman Ahn stated, "The eyes and ears of all citizens are on the president-elect and the transition committee, and if any problems arise, they will expect solutions," and "Even if the current government handles one-time or short-term issues, for matters whose repercussions may extend beyond the launch of the new government, the transition committee needs to respond to some extent."
He said, "It is also the responsibility of each division member to quickly decide what to request cooperation from the current government and what the transition committee should handle," and emphasized, "While preparing for the launch of the new government, please also pay attention to emerging issues and discuss necessary solutions."
