Support for Return Logistics Costs and Delay Fees for Russian and Ukrainian Export Companies
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Kwon Chil-seung, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) announced on the 20th that it has selected the first batch of participating companies for the 2022 Export Voucher Program to support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises.
In this recruitment, a budget of 76.8 billion KRW, which accounts for about 80% of the total export voucher budget of 95.6 billion KRW this year, was allocated to select 2,112 companies. A total of 4,513 companies applied, recording a competition rate of 2.1 to 1.
Selected companies will receive vouchers ranging from 30 million KRW to a maximum of 100 million KRW depending on their export scale from the previous year, and can freely use overseas marketing services necessary throughout the export process through certified executing agencies with the provided vouchers.
The Export Voucher Program is open to all SMEs under the Framework Act on Small and Medium Enterprises, and support is provided according to export growth stages classified as ▲Domestic ▲Beginner ▲Promising ▲Growth ▲Strong. The selection results showed that 65.1% of the companies were domestic and beginner companies with export performance of less than 100,000 USD in the previous year. This means that support is intensively focused on helping relatively smaller companies make export leaps.
