According to the Gangwon Headquarters of Korea Electric Power Corporation on the 17th, around 9:03 a.m., two utility poles fell near the Usan-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Wonju City.
The accident caused a power outage in nearby apartments, and electricity was cut off to houses and commercial establishments, causing inconvenience to merchants and residents.
The accident occurred when an excavator touched communication lines hanging on the utility poles, causing the poles to fall.
A vehicle parked under the fallen utility poles was crushed, but there were no casualties as no one was inside.
The Usan-dong Administrative Welfare Center posted a notice that operations were suspended due to the power outage.
