77-Year-Old Kim Yong-geon Registers Late-Born Son on Family Register

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Actor Kim Yong-gun (77) will register his son, born last year with his girlfriend A (37), who is 39 years younger, on his family register.
According to The Fact on the 15th, Kim Yong-gun confirmed on the 14th that the DNA test of his son, requested on the 7th at a university hospital in Seoul, proved paternity.
The child is currently being raised by Ms. A, and Kim Yong-gun is reportedly seeking to support living expenses necessary for raising the child, including registering him on the family register.
Kim Yong-gun and Ms. A met at a drama wrap-up party in 2008 and maintained a relationship for 13 years. Conflict arose when they had a child. Ms. A revealed that Kim Yong-gun opposed the birth, while Kim Yong-gun apologized, stating, "It is true that I suggested abortion, but I decided to take responsibility by allowing the child to be born and registered on the family register."

Kim Yong-gun, who married a non-celebrity woman in 1977 and divorced in 1996, has two sons, Ha Jung-woo (Kim Sung-hoon) and Cha Hyun-woo (Kim Young-hoon).
