Kakao Mobility Launches Full-Scale Electric Vehicle Charging Service... Integration with Ministry of Environment Devices
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Kaomobility announced on the 13th that it will link the Ministry of Environment's electric vehicle chargers to its electric vehicle charging service.
Through this service linkage, users can now use the Ministry of Environment's electric vehicle charging service on the existing Kakao Navi or Kakao T apps without installing a separate application or registering as a member.
By entering the 'Electric Vehicle Charging' service within the app and selecting 'Ministry of Environment' from the list of operating organizations, users can check information such as ▲charger location ▲status information ▲operating hours ▲parking fees. Additionally, by scanning the fixed QR code attached to the charger, users can make easy payments with a credit card pre-registered in the app without needing a physical card.
The use of 'Kakao T Points' will also be available in the electric vehicle charging service. Points purchased through account charging, gifted Kakao T Points, or points earned for free in Kakao T Point Town can be used to pay for electric vehicle charging fees.
A function to check different electric vehicle subsidies according to region, vehicle type, and timing has been introduced to assist prospective electric vehicle owners in exploring purchase information. Users can check the subsidy status by region, receive real-time updates via push messages when subsidies change, and compare subsidies for up to five vehicles at a glance.
In the future, services such as ▲charging route planning (calculating the optimal route considering charger locations) ▲charger malfunction status identification based on user fault reports ▲fault prediction based on usage pattern analysis will be sequentially introduced.
