Ssangyong C&E Selected as an Excellent Disclosure Corporation in the 2021 KOSPI Market
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Ssangyong C&E was selected as the '2021 Excellent Disclosure Company in the Securities Market' at the '2021 Securities Market Excellent Disclosure Company Awards Ceremony' held at the Korea Exchange in Yeouido, Seoul on the 10th.
The Excellent Disclosure Company in the Securities Market is an award system by the Korea Exchange that evaluates and awards about 900 companies listed on the securities market based on their performance in voluntary disclosure, spontaneous disclosure, fair disclosure, the number of investor relations (IR) meetings held, the disclosure officers' understanding of disclosure-related laws and regulations, diligence in performing duties, and the establishment of disclosure infrastructure.
This year, eight companies including Ssangyong C&E, Dong-A ST, Hyundai Heavy Industries Holdings, Mirae Asset Life Insurance, E-Mart, Grand Korea Leisure, Hyundai Home Shopping, and Samsung Heavy Industries were selected as excellent disclosure companies.
Ssangyong C&E was the first in the cement industry to declare ESG management and has made significant efforts to establish a foundation for sustainable development companies. It has also worked to strengthen the professionalism and diversity of the board of directors while establishing a transparent and sound governance structure through an independent board. Additionally, it has focused on securing the reliability of accounting information prepared and disclosed according to corporate accounting standards through the internal accounting management system.
