KT&G Announces Results of Startup Camp for Solving Social Issues
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT&G announced on the 10th that it held 'The Debut,' an event presenting the achievements of the 6th cohort participants of the youth startup support program 'KT&G Sangsang Startup Camp,' on the 8th. This camp is a social innovation entrepreneur training program that selects young entrepreneurs aiming to solve social problems through business and provides 14 weeks of practical startup education.
'The Debut' was held at 'KT&G Sangsang Planet,' a youth startup dedicated space established by KT&G in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. Among all the graduating teams, 8 teams pre-selected in advance presented their business models and achievements.
Based on their presentations, KT&G conducted a fair evaluation including business effectiveness and social impact assessment, ultimately selecting 5 outstanding teams. KT&G plans to provide various follow-up support to strengthen the competitiveness of these outstanding teams. KT&G has already offered the benefit of free occupancy in the Sangsang Planet workspace for one year and plans to continue collaboration such as promoting business items and connecting investment attraction.
