According to the Central Election Management Committee's election statistics system on the 10th, as of 2:08 AM, with 64.56% of the votes counted, candidate Choi recorded a vote share of 50.03%, ranking first. Independent candidate Kim Young-jong, in second place, received 31.92%, with Choi leading by a large margin, making his victory highly likely.
