Ulsan Office of Education Achieves 95.1% Fulfillment Rate of Superintendent Noh Ok-hee's Pledges... Citizen Pledge Management Committee Evaluation

The city education office stated, “The fulfillment rate was evaluated by the Citizen Pledge Management Committee, composed of Ulsan citizens through an open recruitment process, and it exceeded the pledge fulfillment target by 6.6 percentage points, progressing smoothly.”
As a result of evaluating the implementation of a total of 102 pledge projects, 66 projects have already been completed, and the remaining 36 projects are progressing normally.
Major completed pledges include operating career-tailored arts-focused hub schools, strengthening the Ulsan Admission Information Center, designating innovative education districts, establishing the Ulsan Education Policy Research Institute, securing safe student commuting routes, expanding the participatory budgeting system, implementing eco-friendly free meals for elementary, middle, and high schools, providing free education for all high school grades, supporting new student uniforms for middle and high schools, supporting field trip expenses for elementary and middle school students, expanding public kindergartens, installing air purification devices in all classrooms, operating the dental primary care system, and direct employment of school irregular workers by the superintendent of education.
Ongoing pledges include operating pilot districts for the high school credit system, supporting student-centered classes, ecological education utilizing school forests, and strengthening seismic functions of school facilities.
Superintendent No Ok-hee actively implemented educational welfare pledges such as free meals, free education, free textbooks, and support for field trip and uniform expenses.
With regular pledge fulfillment inspections by the Citizen Pledge Management Committee and transparent disclosure of implementation status, the Ulsan education family is advancing the pledges together.
