According to Bloomberg News, Rafael Grossi, the Director General, reported that the neutron generator at the Kharkiv Physics and Technology Institute was destroyed during the Russian attack.
However, it was confirmed that no radioactive leakage was detected due to the low stock of radioactive materials.
Additionally, Director General Grossi mentioned that on the 4th, a fire broke out in a building within the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant complex in Ukraine due to Russian shelling, stating, "There was no radioactive leakage, but it was close." He emphasized, "We must not allow a nuclear accident to happen."
Director General Grossi reaffirmed his willingness to visit Chernobyl to ensure the safety of all nuclear power plants in Ukraine. He said, "Any location (for talks) is possible," and "IAEA can help and is ready to do so."
