Sancheong-gun Joint Inspection of Child Protection Zones ... Creating Safe School Routes
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is conducting a joint safety inspection of 'Children Protection Zones' and other areas in collaboration with related organizations to mark the start of the school term.
This inspection, involving Sancheong-gun, Sancheong Police Station, and Sancheong Office of Education, will be carried out until the 10th, targeting the Children Protection Zones and school routes around 15 elementary schools and kindergartens in the region.
The main inspection items include ▲whether safety signs are installed according to Children Protection Zone regulations ▲the condition of road accessories such as speed bumps, protective fences, and anti-slip facilities ▲whether there are facilities causing inconvenience to passage such as roadside parking or piled-up objects on school routes.
Additionally, an investigation will be conducted regarding the need for installation of traffic signals and enforcement cameras at each school in relation to the amendment of the Road Traffic Act.
After the inspection, minor issues will be addressed immediately, and repairs and maintenance of points and facilities recognized as needing improvement will be carried out step by step.
