Gwangju University Selected as Scholarship Student by Korea Rotary Scholarship Cultural Foundation

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyuk-jong) announced on the 3rd that Kim Ga-yeon, a freshman in the Department of Accounting and Taxation for the 2022 academic year, was selected as a scholarship student by the Rotary Korea Scholarship and Culture Foundation.
Kim Ga-yeon will receive an academic encouragement scholarship of 1.6 million KRW annually for four years.
Last year, Jeong Ju-ho, a student in the Department of Accounting and Taxation at Gwangju University, also received a four-year scholarship from the Gwangju Hyosung Youth Culture Foundation.

Shin Chun-woo, head of the Department of Accounting and Taxation, said, "Thanks to the efforts of Jang Jo-nam, an adjunct professor at Gwangju University and former president of the Songjeong Central Rotary Club, Kim Ga-yeon was able to receive the scholarship. As our department is becoming the region’s leading department specializing in accounting and taxation, and opportunities to receive scholarships are given every year, we will nurture professional talents who can contribute to the local community."
