60-Year-Old Man Arrested for Repeatedly Damaging 3 Presidential Candidate Banners
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] The Gwangju Northern Police Station announced on the 28th that they have apprehended and are investigating a man in his 60s, Mr. A, who damaged campaign banners of candidates for the 20th presidential election.
Mr. A is suspected of tearing three different presidential candidate banners installed near the intersection by Mudeung Library in Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, around 10:30 a.m. the previous day, violating the Public Official Election Act.
During the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated that he had no particular reason for his actions.
