Korea Airports Corporation Wins LACP Award in Sustainable Management Category
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Korea Airports Corporation announced on the 28th that it won the 'Grand Prize' by securing first place in the Sustainability Management category at the '2020·21 LACP Vision Awards' hosted by the U.S. League of American Communications Professionals (LACP).
The 'LACP Vision Awards' is a competition organized by LACP, the world's most prestigious marketing organization, evaluating sustainability management reports, annual reports, and more from global public institutions and private companies, including Fortune 500 companies. This year, over 1,000 global organizations participated.
The corporation's sustainability management report clearly conveyed ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) management efforts such as achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, realizing social value, and transparency in governance, receiving perfect scores in seven categories including clarity and creativity. It earned an excellent evaluation of 99 out of 100 points, winning the grand prize in the sustainability management category.
Yoon Hyung-jung, President of Korea Airports Corporation, said, "This is a meaningful achievement recognizing Korea Airports Corporation's ESG management internationally," and added, "Going forward, the corporation will lead changes and innovations in the future aviation industry suitable for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the era of climate change through ESSG management, which adds Safety (S) to ESG management."
