[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Kohler Novita has entered the rental market by launching its first rental-type bidet among its products.
Kohler Novita plans to launch the sterilizing bidet rental model 'BD-H730' through CJ OnStyle home shopping at 6:30 PM on the 28th.
The sterilizing bidet is Novita's flagship product. Sales in the fourth quarter of last year grew by 566% compared to the first quarter, and the recently introduced practical sterilizing bidet model 'BD-H500' achieved 216% of its target sales quantity during a shopping live broadcast.
Kohler Novita has so far produced bidets primarily for direct sales. Although the principle was to supply products at reasonable prices by reducing management costs associated with rentals, the sterilizing bidet became a major topic, increasing inquiries about rentals. The company explained that to reduce the burden of lump-sum purchases and satisfy consumers' needs for additional management, they decided to introduce a rental-type bidet.
The rental cost for Novita's first rental-type sterilizing bidet BD-H730 is 23,900 KRW per month based on a 48-month contract. When receiving the maximum discount through affiliated card billing, customers only pay installation and registration fees and can use the rental service for free. Every eight months, Novita's professional management staff visit to steam sterilize the product and ceramic parts and replace the filters.

The sterilizing bidet sterilizes 99.9% of harmful bacteria breeding inside and outside the nozzle and the ceramic bowl once every 24 hours through an automatic sterilization function. The main unit has an IPX5 waterproof rating, and the remote control has an IPX7 waterproof design, making water cleaning easy. Novita's patented technologies, such as the rotating nozzle providing three types of water streams from a single nozzle and the 3D Move Wash, are also equipped.
