Professor Jingeol Ju of Dongshin University Awarded 'Excellent Paper Award' at the Korean Society of Disaster Prevention Conference
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hyung-joo] Professor Ju Jin-geol of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Dongshin University received the Excellent Paper Award at the '2022 Korea Disaster Prevention Society Academic Conference' for his research on carbon emission assessment resulting from small stream maintenance projects.
He proposed a method to quantify the amount of carbon dioxide generated during small stream maintenance projects and was highly evaluated for estimating the total carbon dioxide emissions from all small streams across South Korea.
Additionally, Professor Ju was recognized for his dedicated activities in the field of disaster prevention and mitigation, contributing to disaster prevention and the advancement of disaster science, and received a commendation from the Korea Disaster Prevention Society.
