[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] The arrest warrant for the suspect who attempted self-immolation at the People Power Party Central Party Office was dismissed.
On the 25th, Hong Jin-pyo, the chief judge in charge of warrants at the Seoul Southern District Court, dismissed the arrest warrant for Mr. A, a man in his 50s, who is accused of special trespassing and special threats.
Judge Hong stated, "The suspect has a fixed residence, and the motive for the crime appears somewhat impulsive. He acknowledges the specific facts, shows remorse, and cooperates with the investigation, making it difficult to see any risk of evidence tampering or flight."
