Honam University Successfully Completes 'Major Experience' Program for 3rd Year Middle School Students
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] The Department of Clinical Pathology at Honam University (Department Head Jang Yoo-ji) announced on the 25th that it conducted a "Visiting Major Experience" for 9th-grade middle school students on the 22nd and 23rd.
During this major experience, participants were introduced to the department and engaged in practical exercises such as genetic diagnosis of the coronavirus, which has recently attracted global attention, observing fruit fly mutations under a microscope, mouse dissection experiments, and observing the shapes of cells in blood, thereby increasing their curiosity and interest through various hands-on activities.
Among the students who participated in the major experience after the COVID-19 antigen test, many aimed to enter Honam University's Department of Clinical Pathology this year.
