Hwasun-gun to Recruit for 'Automobile Carbon Point System' Starting from the 2nd of Next Month
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeonnam Hwasun-gun announced on the 23rd that it will recruit 48 vehicles on a first-come, first-served basis to participate in the 'Automobile Carbon Point System' from next month 2nd to April 6th.
The Automobile Carbon Point System is a greenhouse gas reduction practice system that compares the average daily driving distance from the initial vehicle registration to before joining and the average daily driving distance during the participation period (March to October), and provides incentives differentially according to the reduction performance.
The eligible participants are non-commercial passenger cars and vans with 12 seats or less registered in Hwasun-gun.
However, vehicles owned by corporations or organizations, commercial vehicles, and eco-friendly vehicles (electric, hybrid, hydrogen cars, etc.) cannot participate.
Only one vehicle per person (based on the owner) can participate. If the reduction is 40% or more or 4,000 km or more, an incentive of 100,000 KRW will be provided.
Drivers who wish to participate can sign up as members on the Automobile Carbon Point System website.
After completing membership registration, they must submit a photo of the vehicle license plate, a photo of the odometer, and the vehicle registration certificate as supporting documents.
A county official said, "We hope many residents will take interest and participate in this meaningful work that receives incentive benefits and contributes to greenhouse gas reduction and the spread of eco-friendly driving culture."
