City of Opportunity, City of Talent ... Busan City and Shinsegae I&C Sign MOU for Establishing and Operating Youth Education Institution
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan City is joining hands with Shinsegae I&C to nurture outstanding young talents.
On the afternoon of the 23rd, Busan City will sign a “Business Agreement for Cooperation in the Establishment and Operation of Youth Educational Institutions” with Shinsegae I&C, an affiliate of Shinsegae Group, a leading company in Korea, at Busan City Hall.
The signing ceremony will be attended by Park Hyung-joon, Mayor of Busan, and Son Jeong-hyun, CEO of Shinsegae I&C, among others.
The purpose of the business agreement is to establish an efficient cooperative system between Busan City and Shinsegae I&C for nurturing young talents.
Busan City will support all matters related to the establishment and operation of youth educational institutions and provide assistance for employment and start-up linkage. Shinsegae I&C plans to develop programs and provide educational services for local youth aimed at nurturing talents desired by companies.
Shinsegae I&C’s youth educational institution will be established and operated within this year by selecting an easily accessible location in downtown Busan.
The educational institution plans to offer ▲ software competency enhancement education ▲ youth employment and start-up preparation competency education ▲ youth self-development education, among others.
Shinsegae I&C, a global retail tech specialized company, is the IT service company of Shinsegae Group.
It presents new directions for corporate digital transformation by introducing various solutions such as artificial intelligence, cloud, and smart retail.
It also operates the educational service platform “SSG EDU,” which supports customized corporate programs from diagnosis and consulting to e-learning content and offline group training course development.
Son Jeong-hyun, CEO of Shinsegae I&C, said, “We will strive to provide substantial programs that meet the needs of youth and companies so that this can remain a successful example of public-private cooperation.”
