Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport: "4 Korean Construction Workers Evacuated from Ukraine"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 22nd that all four Korean construction workers working locally in Ukraine have evacuated to neighboring countries due to the worsening situation between Russia and Ukraine.
According to the Ministry, domestic companies that had been conducting supervision services in Ukraine urgently evacuated their construction workers considering the local situation.
In the case of domestic company sites in Russia, they are located away from conflict zones and are proceeding with business as usual. The Ministry confirmed that there are no safety issues.

The Ministry stated, "We will strictly monitor the situation going forward and cooperate with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and others to do our best to ensure the safety of Korean workers and protect companies." It added, "Together with the Overseas Construction Association, we will operate a public-private joint emergency task force to listen to the difficulties faced by domestic companies operating in Russia and Ukraine and hold the first meeting."
