KT Launches 'Ydeom' for Customers in Their 20s
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] KT's brand for people in their 20s, 'Y', announced that from the 22nd, it will offer the 'Y Dum' benefits.
Y Dum is a benefit that provides double the 'smart device shared data' that can be used for additional devices or tethering to 20s customers using KT 5G, and also allows free use of one smart device line.
Y Dum was planned as one of the specialized benefits for people in their 20s provided by KT's Y. The name Y Dum was chosen with the intuitive meaning of giving more to customers in their 20s and the idea of 'fandom', expressing the intention to naturally make customers fans of KT Y through benefits that people in their 20s will like and need in the future.
The subscription and provision method of Y Dum has been improved to enhance customer convenience. Y Dum is provided automatically to customers in their 20s who subscribe to a 5G eligible plan as an additional service. Previously, benefits for specific age groups required customers to find and subscribe to dedicated plans themselves.
KT will hold a promotion on its website from the 22nd to commemorate the launch of Y Dum. Among 20s customers who activate a Galaxy S22 with KT and apply for the event, the first 5,000 will receive a 10,000 KRW Kakao Webtoon cash voucher.
