NHN-PCLE, Agreement Signed for 'Bio Data Management and Digital Healthcare' Collaboration

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] NHN announced on the 22nd that it has signed a business agreement with PCL in the field of 'bio data management and digital healthcare.'
Under this business agreement, the two companies plan to actively cooperate in joint projects such as smart city data management and digital healthcare startups. The cooperation includes ▲storage of bio-monitoring data within smart cities, support for computing resources to build data-driven predictive models, construction and joint development of wastewater monitoring systems ▲building database systems for medical data storage and management ▲development of predictive models for managing various chronic disease risks ▲establishment of health checkup platforms.
So-yeon Kim, CEO of PCL, said, “Standardizing cloud platforms is very important for global leadership in the digital healthcare business. If NHN’s advanced cloud technology and PCL’s core technology in multiplex in vitro diagnostics are combined, it is expected to establish itself as an industrially very useful digital healthcare platform.”
Dong-hoon Kim, Executive Director of NHN Cloud Business Group, stated, “Based on NHN’s technology and know-how in cloud, AI, and big data, we plan to contribute to accumulating various big data in the medical, health, and environmental fields together with PCL Co., Ltd., and to building systems that can analyze and manage this data.”

Meanwhile, NHN has previously signed a business agreement with Gangnam Severance Hospital in the digital healthcare field to derive rare disease prediction models and commercialize services that can manage the entire life cycle using AI and cloud technologies.
