"Get Discounts, Reduce Waste" Emart24 Launches 'Last Order' Service
Startup 'Miro' Partners to Launch LastOrder Discount Service from 22nd
Participating Stores Use Service After Initial Verification, Applicable to All Products Except Alcohol, Tobacco, and Services
Consumers Can Purchase at Discounted Prices, Reducing Store Waste for an Environmental Win-Win
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Emart24 announced that it will start the Last Order service from the 22nd in partnership with the startup 'Miro'.
Last Order is a service where discounted products in stores are registered on an application (app), and customers who want to purchase can set the pickup time on the app, pay, and pick up the items themselves.
Emart24 franchise store owners who want to use the Last Order service can download the Last Order app on their smartphones and complete a one-time store verification to register and sell products through both the app and the store's POS system.
With this system in place, Emart24 franchise stores can sell all products except alcohol, tobacco, and service items through Last Order, with a basic discount rate of 30% applied.
Customers select discounted products from nearby Emart24 stores displayed on the Last Order app, set the pickup date and time, and after payment, a barcode is generated. They can then visit the store, scan the barcode, and receive their products.
By launching the Last Order service, Emart24 expects customers to purchase products at discounted prices, while franchise stores can increase sales of items with short shelf lives, such as lunch boxes, and reduce waste. This is also anticipated to have a positive impact on the environment.
Emart24 expects to enhance store competitiveness by enabling franchise stores to conduct price discount marketing tailored to their situations through a system that allows selling all products (except alcohol, tobacco, and service items) at discounted prices, not just those nearing expiration.
