[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Shinsegae Department Store announced on the 20th that it will introduce golf apparel stores of A.P.C and Philipp Plein for the first time in Korea, targeting young golfers.
A.P.C golf wear is a new brand of the overseas contemporary brand A.P.C, which is well-known among customers in their 20s and 30s, and will open at the Gangnam branch. To commemorate this opening, customers who purchase over 1 million KRW will receive an A.P.C bucket hat as a gift. In March, the Swiss luxury brand Philipp Plein's golf wear store will also open at the Gangnam branch.
According to Shinsegae Department Store, golf wear sales grew by 56.3% last year, with the highest sales growth seen among customers in their 20s and 30s.
Ahead of the full-fledged rounding season, Shinsegae Department Store will also introduce golf wear pop-up stores. At the Gangnam branch, the premium golf wear brand Challenger will be featured from the 7th to the 27th of next month, and at Daejeon Shinsegae Art & Science, a Rolling Stones golf wear pop-up store will be introduced from the 11th to the 24th.
