Police Request Arrest Warrant for Gyeyang Electric Employee on 24.5 Billion Won Embezzlement Charges
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The police have applied for an arrest warrant for an employee of the KOSPI-listed company Gyeyang Electric, who is accused of embezzling 24.5 billion won of company funds.
On the 17th, the Suseo Police Station in Seoul announced that it had applied for an arrest warrant for Kim, a finance team employee at Gyeyang Electric, on charges of embezzlement under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes.
The police obtained a search warrant for Kim's bank accounts from the court and plan to investigate the flow of funds. No accomplices have been identified so far.
