[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Samsung Electronics announced on the 17th that it will hold the 'Samsung Galaxy MWC Event 2022' online ahead of the global mobile exhibition 'Mobile World Congress (MWC)' opening on the 28th (local time in Spain).
On the 17th at 8 a.m., Samsung Electronics sent invitations to global media and partners. Through the invitation, Samsung Electronics mentioned, "We will redefine work and learning culture in a mobile-first environment and unveil new products that provide a more enhanced Galaxy ecosystem experience." The products unveiled at MWC are the successor models to the Galaxy Book laptop products released in April last year.
On the same day, Kim Hak-sang, Vice President and Head of the NC (New Computing) Development Team of Samsung Electronics' MX Division, published an article titled "Towards a New Leap in Mobile Computing" on the newsroom, stating, "We are preparing to introduce another ambitious work at the end of this month, which is a new PC lineup."
Vice President Kim said, "This year, we will provide stronger and smoother mobile computing technology and make every effort to enhance work efficiency and convenience in our lives," emphasizing, "As part of that effort, we focused more on ‘continuity between devices’ that allows various devices within the Galaxy ecosystem to be interconnected." He added, "At the foundation of this is a long-standing partnership with industry leaders such as Intel and Microsoft."
According to Samsung Electronics, the next-generation Galaxy Book lineup, which embodies collaboration with these companies, was developed with goals such as a seamless user experience across various devices and operating systems (OS), excellent mobility supported by Intel’s technology, and a stable user experience based on a strengthened security system.
Vice President Kim explained, "Samsung Electronics collaborated with Microsoft to introduce convenient features like ‘Link to Windows’ and will provide an expanded inter-device experience this year," adding, "We plan to support seamless use of Microsoft apps such as Office, OneDrive, and Outlook across various Galaxy products from smartphones to PCs." Furthermore, to provide a more advanced Galaxy user experience, Samsung recently introduced ‘One UI Book 4,’ allowing frequently used apps like Samsung Gallery and Samsung Notes to be experienced seamlessly across smartphones and PCs without distinction.
Additionally, Vice President Kim stated, "Samsung Electronics, together with Intel, has completed the next-generation Galaxy Book with high-level performance and battery life, providing the best PC experience that enhances mobility and connectivity."
