Hanwha Insurance Hosts 'Online Safety Golden Bell Quiz Competition'
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Hanwha General Insurance announced on the 16th that it held an ‘Online Safety Golden Bell’ event for 125 children from five regional children’s centers in the Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, and Honam areas using the video conferencing platform Zoom.
Now in its 11th year, this event is part of Hanwha General Insurance employees’ year-round social contribution program called ‘Safety 365,’ conducted with children at child welfare facilities. It serves as an opportunity to review the safety knowledge learned throughout the year in a quiz format for children who have completed the entire program.
Prior to the event, the Hanwha General Insurance volunteer group personally prepared supply kits for the participating children and recorded video quiz questions on various safety topics tailored for the Zoom event.
The quiz covered a total of seven categories: traffic safety, school safety, water and ship safety, fire safety, play and sports safety, public safety, and emergency treatment safety.

A Hanwha General Insurance official stated, “Children have much less ability to detect danger compared to adults, so special attention from guardians and systematic education are necessary. We will strive to help students at regional children’s centers, who have relatively fewer educational opportunities, develop safe habits.”
