San-eun Capital Appoints Kim Geon-yeol as New CEO
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Kim Geon-yeol, Vice President of Korea Development Bank Capital, has been appointed as the new CEO. KDB Capital announced on the 10th that the board of directors held a meeting and appointed Vice President Kim as the new CEO. The new CEO Kim will begin his term on the 11th.
CEO Kim graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Economics and joined the Korea Development Bank in 1989. He has held key positions such as the International Finance Department, Singapore Branch, Corporate Finance Office, Head of New Loan Planning Department, Chief Secretary, and Head of Planning and Coordination Department, earning recognition for his work capabilities.
Additionally, since September 2016, while serving as Vice President, Kim served as the Head of the Policy Planning Division, the control tower of KDB, for three years, and from September 2019, he concurrently held the position of Head of the Management Division overseeing the entire bank. In February of the following year, he was appointed Vice President of KDB Capital, where he oversaw overall operations and significantly contributed to achieving the best-ever business performance despite the COVID-19 situation.
