After concluding a policy agreement ceremony held at the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions in Yeouido that day, Lee responded to reporters' questions about President Moon Jae-in's demand for an apology from candidate Yoon regarding his 'deep-rooted evils investigation' remarks.
He further pointed out, "We must move forward toward the future for unity, but revenge, hatred, conflict, and division could put our society at risk."
Regarding reports that Kim Gun-hee, Yoon's spouse, had securities accounts used during the period of stock price manipulation involving Deutsche Motors, he stated, "If anyone has clear false statements or serious criminal allegations, it is right to investigate strictly and promptly without exception."
When asked about the key focus among the various job and labor pledges he recently announced, Lee answered, "We must reduce discrimination," emphasizing, "Reducing discrimination and inequality between regular and irregular workers, between men and women, and between large corporations and small and medium enterprises is the most important task."

At the policy agreement ceremony with the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions that morning, Lee said, "Pro-labor is pro-economy and pro-business. Workers must live for businesses to survive, and businesses must survive for the economy to thrive." He added, "However, after taking office as governor of Gyeonggi Province, an economic magazine surveyed corporate executives on the most business-friendly metropolitan government heads, and Lee Jae-myung overwhelmingly ranked first," stating, "Businesspeople already knew this. The most pro-business politician is Lee Jae-myung."
