[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] On the 10th, Choi Jong-geon, First Vice Foreign Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, had a phone call with Wendy Sherman, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, and discussed Korea-U.S. relations, the Korean Peninsula issue, major regional situations, and global issues, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
The two vice ministers agreed to conduct in-depth consultations on North Korea cooperation measures through a series of meetings, including the Korea-U.S.-Japan three-party senior representatives on North Korea nuclear issues held in Honolulu, Hawaii on the 10th (local time) and the three-party foreign ministers' meeting on the 12th.
