Ministry of Education Shares Best Practices for Supporting University Students' Mental Health
'2022 Daehaksaeng Mental Health Support Performance Forum' Held Online
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Ministry of Education will hold the '2022 University Student Mental Health Support Performance Disclosure Forum' online on the 8th in collaboration with the University Innovation Support Project General Council.
This forum was organized to discover and share best practices in mental health support programs operated by universities conducting the University Innovation Support Project.
As non-face-to-face classes continued due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Education created and implemented the 'University Student Mental Health Support Plan' in February last year.
At this online forum, the main tasks and progress of this plan will be explained, and the results of field opinion collection will be shared and reflected in policy formulation.
The Korea Life Respect Hope Foundation will introduce youth mental health promotion and suicide prevention policies promoted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and provide guidance on ways to connect with university sites.
