[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seok-jin, Legal Affairs Specialist] The prosecution has additionally indicted Son Jung-woo on charges of concealing approximately 400 million won worth of Bitcoin, earned from operating the world's largest child sexual exploitation dark web site 'Welcome to Video (W2V)', by converting it into cash through multiple cryptocurrency accounts and ultimately into his father's account.
According to the prosecution on the 7th, the Women's and Children's Crime Investigation Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office filed non-custodial charges against Son on the 4th for violating the Act on the Regulation of Concealment of Criminal Proceeds and for gambling offenses.
