SK Telecom announced that it has integrated its AI platform, 'NUGU Software Development Kit (NUGU SDK),' into 'Liiv Next,' a banking app exclusively for Generation Z launched by KB Kookmin Bank on the 7th. This is the first outcome since SK Telecom and KB Kookmin Bank signed the 'AI NUGU-based AI Banking Service Business Agreement' in August last year. The two companies will enable customers to use voice commands for banking tasks such as transfers and inquiries, and introduce AI services including weather, emotional conversations, and encyclopedias, which are part of the 'NUGU' service.
In particular, by utilizing voice recognition and speech synthesis technologies, they developed and applied the AI wake word 'Kollya' and Kolly’s voice, using 'Kolly,' one of the representative characters of KB Financial Group’s Star Friends. Through the 'Liiv Next' app, KB Kookmin Bank customers can now use voice commands more familiarly and conveniently for banking tasks such as “Kollya, transfer money to Dad,” “Kollya, tell me my balance,” and “Kollya, register another bank.”
