On the 5th (Korean time), at Spyglass Hill in Pebble Beach, California, USA (par 72, 7,041 yards), the second day of the PGA Tour AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am (total prize money $8.7 million) continued, where Cantlay shot 4-under par to hold a tie for 5th place (10-under par 133). Seamus Power (Ireland) surged with an 8-under par at Pebble Beach Golf Links (par 72, 6,972 yards) to take a 5-shot lead (16-under par 128).
The tournament format involves rotating through three courses including Monterey Peninsula Golf Course (par 71, 6,957 yards) alongside amateur golfers such as world-class sports stars and Hollywood actors, before returning to Pebble Beach Golf Links on the final day to determine the winner. Cantlay started tied for 5th, 3 shots behind, and recorded six birdies and two bogeys. He energized the round with his first birdie on the 11th hole (par 5) and ‘stepping stone birdies’ on the 14th and 16th holes, adding two more birdies on the 1st and 4th holes in the back nine.

Fortunately, he changed the atmosphere with a birdie on the 7th hole (par 5) and looked forward to the next round. His ‘stingy putting’ stood out with an average of 1.83 putts per green hit. He is 6 shots behind the leader, still in a position to aim for his 7th career win since his Tour Championship victory last September. Power swept up an impressive 10 birdies (2 bogeys). He is a player who earned his first career win at the Barbasol Championship last July.
