[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Foreign Minister Chung Eui-yong, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi will hold the first trilateral meeting following North Korea's consecutive missile provocations to discuss current issues.
The U.S. Department of State announced in a press release on the 4th (local time) that Secretary Blinken will invite Minister Chung and Foreign Minister Hayashi to hold a trilateral foreign ministers' meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii, on the 12th.

The U.S. Department of State stated, "Through the trilateral foreign ministers' meeting, we plan to strengthen cooperation on North Korea's nuclear and missile threats and 21st-century challenges," adding, "In addition, Secretary Blinken is scheduled to meet with General John Aquilino, Commander of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM)."
