Gyeonggi-do Provides 'Crisis Response Operation Support Fund' of 400,000 KRW per Company to Over 4,000 Tourism Businesses
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will provide 400,000 KRW in operational support funds per business to over 4,000 tourism companies in the province struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 4th that applications will be accepted from the 16th of this month until the 11th of next month through the crisis response operational support fund website (www.ggwithyou.com).
The support targets all tourism businesses under the Tourism Promotion Act of small and medium-sized enterprises or smaller within the province, provided they are not in a suspended or closed status as of January 31 of this year.
Additionally, the province will, for the first time, provide 100,000 KRW per vehicle to charter bus companies that also operate travel businesses, which were previously in a support blind spot.
The support targets companies and charter bus vehicles registered in Gyeonggi Province as both travel agencies and charter bus operators as of January 31, 2022.
However, public institutions funded or invested by the government or local governments, as well as large corporations, are excluded from the support.
Detailed application requirements and submission documents can be checked through the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization website (www.gto.or.kr) and the Gyeonggi Tourism Association website (www.gta.or.kr).
