On the 3rd, the Jungnang Police Station in Seoul announced that they arrested Mr. A (69) on charges of breaking into his ex-wife's house located in Jungnang-gu, Seoul, and assaulting her around 10:43 p.m. on the 30th of last month.
According to the police, Mr. A, who was intoxicated, entered the victim's house and verbally abused her, accusing her of having an affair, and inflicted violence on her arms and other parts. On the day of the incident, the police immediately responded to a noise complaint from a resident.
Mr. A divorced the victim five years ago. He stated that he suspected his ex-wife of infidelity and assaulted her at that time as well. However, there are no known reports of domestic violence related to Mr. A.

Currently, emergency temporary measures 1, 2, and 3 are being applied to evict and isolate the perpetrator from the victim's residence. The perpetrator is prohibited from approaching within 100 meters of the victim's residence or contacting the victim through communication methods.
