[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Mesh Korea (CEO Yoo Jung-beom), operator of 'Boorung,' announced on the 27th that its average daily early morning delivery volume has surpassed 10,000 orders. Accordingly, the company plans to strengthen its fulfillment service capabilities this year and open the Gonjiam Fulfillment Center in February.

Mesh Korea explained that last year, the fulfillment business segment grew rapidly due to acquiring customers from fresh food and food ingredient companies as well as non-food industries such as fashion. In particular, it has recorded an on-time delivery rate of over 99%, with deliveries completed to the final consumer by 7 a.m. the day after ordering, drawing attention as a new alternative logistics partner for early morning delivery.

To respond to the rapidly growing early morning delivery volume, Mesh Korea decided to additionally operate the third Gonjiam Fulfillment Center in February, following the existing fulfillment centers in Gimpo and Namyangju. Currently, the operation rates of the Gimpo and Namyangju fulfillment centers have reached their maximum capacity.

The Gonjiam Center, with a total area of 17,520㎡, features a full cold chain system capable of storing refrigerated and frozen foods, along with advanced logistics automation equipment that enhances efficiency and accuracy. Notably, it is located near the Gonjiam IC, a key logistics hub, allowing access to major areas of Seoul within an hour. Additionally, an IT solution that enables real-time tracking from product storage to final delivery is provided simultaneously. Mesh Korea's strategy is to increase the share of early morning delivery by tenfold compared to the previous year through aggressive expansion of logistics infrastructure and advancement of supporting IT solutions.

Choi Byung-jun, head of Mesh Korea's domestic business division, said, "Boorung, which directly operates IT solutions, distribution logistics infrastructure, and delivery means, is emerging as a new logistics partner in the early morning delivery market previously dominated by a few companies. We will actively support all client companies using Boorung's fulfillment services so that they can focus more on the core value of their business, such as product development, marketing, and sales, without worrying about logistics."
