The signing ceremony was held via an online video conference, with County Governor Han Jeong-woo and Hanzhong City Mayor, along with officials from both cities, participating.
The county began by introducing a pair of crested ibises in 2008 and signed a letter of intent for friendly exchange with Hanzhong City in November 2009.
After introducing two additional male crested ibises in 2013, in February 2019, the county governor personally visited Hanzhong City to sign a friendly exchange agreement for the restoration of the crested ibis.
