On the 26th, Changwon City signed a business agreement with 16 companies and related organizations to promote youth job creation projects.
This agreement was prepared to help young people settle and grow in the region through job creation projects to overcome youth unemployment, which has emerged as a serious social problem.
According to the agreement, each organization will cooperate in carrying out youth job creation based on national policies, expanding good quality jobs by improving the working environment of participating companies, cooperating for the development of local talent, and sharing information on manpower supply and demand.
The city plans to invest a total of 18 billion KRW to directly create youth jobs, employing 2,800 people, and will promote various projects aiming for 10,000 jobs over the next three years to generate synergy with the agreement.
Specifically, it plans to enhance job creation through proactive job policies responding to the employment crisis, prevent outflow of youth through education and training for young job seekers, activate youth hiring, and strengthen industry-academia networking channels by building a youth job platform.
Mayor Heo Seong-mu said, “We will cooperate with the organizations gathered today to connect excellent companies with young job seekers and strive for various policies and support related to youth job creation.”
