Highlighting High-Speed Equipment Brand Image with High-Speed Chip Mounter 'HM520'
Actively Targeting the US Market with Smart Factory Solution 'T-Solution'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyeyoung] Hanwha Precision Machinery announced on the 26th that it will participate in the 'IPC APEX 2022' exhibition held in San Diego, USA, to target the North American market.
The IPC APEX exhibition, held from the 25th to the 27th of this month (local time), is the largest surface mount technology (SMT) exhibition in North America. This event, held for the first time in two years due to the impact of COVID-19, features equipment from over 400 manufacturers worldwide.
At this exhibition, Hanwha Precision Machinery showcased inline solutions centered on the smart high-speed chip mounter 'HM520' equipped with SMT functionality, as well as smart factory solutions embodying Industry 4.0. To target the U.S. mid-speed market, which focuses on small-lot, multi-product production, they also exhibited mid-speed models DECAN S1 and the versatile SM485 equipment.
Chip mounters are essential equipment used in the production of various electronic products such as smartphones, memory semiconductors, mini LED TVs, automotive infotainment systems, and circuit boards for electric vehicles.
Hanwha Precision Machinery also introduced its self-developed integrated software 'T-Ti Solution' tailored to the intelligence and automation requirements of local U.S. customers. They presented the 'T-M2M (Machine To Machine)' function, which links inspection equipment and information to correct mounting quality in real time, and the 'T-Production Planner' software, which establishes optimal production plans considering material information and available resources.
They received favorable reviews for showcasing several new features such as optimal production planning for multi-lines that can improve productivity and convenience at the factory level, and mobile applications, all designed to respond to the small-lot, multi-product production environment of the U.S. market. In particular, the 'T-Smart' solution, which manages production lines remotely using wearable devices like smartwatches, was exhibited, drawing attention as a smart factory solution that organically connects production processes and enables intelligence and automation.
