Starting this year’s Seollal gift sales, CU conducted a campaign where if customers chose not to receive the +1 free product and instead donated it, CU would donate the same quantity through a matching grant system. From the sales period of Seollal gift sets, which ran from the 24th of last month to the 20th of this month, about 100 customers participated in the donation.
BGF Retail will add the products donated by CU to the items donated by customers and deliver Seollal gifts worth about 10 million KRW to the Central Elderly Protection Agency. The Central Elderly Protection Agency plans to distribute the donated items to about 400 elderly people living alone or who have suffered abuse, enduring the cold winter, through four elderly protection agencies in the Seoul area, in the names of each donor.
