Vice Minister Oh Young-woo Encourages Disabled National Team Training
Oh Young-woo, Vice Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, attended the opening ceremony of the training for the national disabled athletes team held at the Icheon National Disabled Athletes Village on the 24th, encouraging the athletes and coaches. The opening ceremony proceeded in the order of an opening address by Chung Jin-wan, President of the Korea Paralympic Committee, a congratulatory speech by Vice Minister Oh, an athlete oath in the form of a talk concert, and the screening of congratulatory video messages. To prevent COVID-19, attendance of athletes and coaches was minimized. Vice Minister Oh experienced curling at the curling rink and communicated with the athletes, listening to their difficulties. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism invested 19.3 billion won until last month to more than double the accommodations at the Icheon Athletes Village (202 rooms) and expand the fitness facilities.
