30s Man Who Broke into Ex-Girlfriend's House Arrested... Crime Committed 1 Hour After Police Left
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A man in his 30s who was warned by the police for causing a disturbance at his ex-girlfriend's house returned about an hour later, broke into the house, and was arrested.
According to the police on the 20th, the Suseo Police Station in Seoul arrested Lee (34) at around 2:05 a.m. on charges of trespassing and violating the Stalking Punishment Act.
Lee is accused of waiting near the house of his ex-girlfriend A in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, at around 1:47 a.m., and when A opened the front door to receive a delivery food order, he pushed his way inside the house.
Earlier, at around 12:47 a.m. on the same day, Lee had come to A's house, knocked on the door, and kicked it, causing a disturbance. A reported this to the police. Lee reportedly told the police who arrived at the scene, "I came to get my belongings from my ex-girlfriend's house." The police warned Lee not to return and then left the scene.
However, Lee did not leave the area and waited near A's house. About an hour later, when A opened the door to receive the delivery food, Lee pushed A and broke into the house. The police reportedly issued emergency protective measures such as a restraining order against Lee regarding A.
