Gwangju Nam-gu, Energy Improvement Project for 500 Low-Income Households 추진
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is promoting an energy efficiency improvement project that replaces insulation, windows, boilers, and more to enhance energy efficiency for vulnerable households.
On the 19th, Nam-gu announced that it will officially launch the energy efficiency improvement project to realize universal energy welfare for low-income households in the district. This year, 1 billion KRW will be invested to maximize energy efficiency for low-income households in the area.
The support targets for this project include households receiving National Basic Livelihood Security, the near-poor class, and general low-income households recommended by the heads of 17 neighborhoods.
However, households wishing for home improvements such as wallpapering, flooring, and sink replacement, households that have received support exceeding 1 million KRW for the same project within the last two years, owner-occupied households among housing benefit recipients, and households residing in buildings owned by LH or Korea Land and Housing Corporation are excluded from support.
The average support amount per household for energy efficiency improvement is 2 million KRW, with a maximum of up to 3 million KRW depending on necessity.
The support funds will be used for insulation, windows, floor construction, as well as replacing boilers and cooling devices.
This year, Nam-gu plans to carry out the energy efficiency improvement project targeting 500 low-income households in the district, and since the project budget supported by the Korea Energy Foundation is limited to 1 billion KRW, support will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
Households wishing to replace insulation, windows, boilers, etc., must quickly apply at their local neighborhood administrative welfare center starting from today to receive support benefits.
