National Human Rights Commission and Korea Journalists Association Call for Entries for the 11th Human Rights Reporting Award Candidates
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] The National Human Rights Commission announced on the 19th that it is accepting submissions for candidates for the "11th Human Rights Reporting Award," co-hosted with the Korea Journalists Association.
The Human Rights Commission has established and operated the Human Rights Reporting Award since 2012 to encourage continuous media interest in human rights and the voluntary spread of reports that influence the protection and promotion of human rights.
The Human Rights Reporting Award targets reports that ▲ uncover human rights issues that have not been previously highlighted ▲ reinterpret existing social, economic, and cultural phenomena from a human rights perspective or investigate underlying human rights issues ▲ contribute to the advancement of human rights by planning and producing human rights-related reports.

Submissions for candidates will be accepted from the 19th until the 7th of next month via web hard at the Korea Journalists Association Secretariat. Awardees will be selected by a judging committee composed of experts from the media, academia, and civil society organizations.
